*Insurance Renewed

To Do
*Upload documents ot PTA UGS
*Complete the Audit
*Still need to fix the posting to Money Minder for the Membership info. I looked at the data and I need to calculate what the transaction was for from each person (how much they gave to membership, donation, etc). I need to sit down and spend a few hours on that. Attached is an income and expense report.

Bank Balances
$54,341 Checking balance
$45,078 Saving balance

Volunteer report:
Coordinators for staff appreciation are needed for months January – May We’ve received enough financial donations to cover staff holiday gifts of wreaths/or gift cards.
Jessica reminded everyone of her Winter Project which collects items for families at Jackson.
Donations are due by December 1st, gift cards or cash donations are welcome. The sign up for donations has been sent via email and is posted in the Facebook group.

Ms. Kosmala’s report:
Conferences are happening November 23 and 24 from 8 am to 8 pm
Sign ups will happen through an application call Sign Up Genius, which will also send follow up emails with reminders and the ability to add to a calendar. Emails will go out this Friday.
Sign ups will be broken up by grade level and then into electives, and counseling/support staff so parents will receive multiple emails. Staff decided it was easier to receive multiple emails than to have parents comb through one long list of 50+ staff members.
Ms. Kosmala highly recommends going into the conference knowing what YOU want to talk about. Don’t be afraid to lead the discussion.

Make one appointment for block teachers, or teachers you child has for more than one class.
Only schedule conferences with teachers you want to to talk to, don’t feel obligated to sign up with every teacher.

Wilson High School name change
Two members of the name change committee came to the meeting to offer an update about the Wilson name change that his happening this year. Martin Osborne, a community member, and Ellen Whatmore, a Wilson teacher.
The committee plans to present their proposed name to Superintendent and the school board by December 15th of this year.
