The Jackson Middle School (JMS) PTA is an incorporated parent volunteer organization. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization consisting of more than 350 members. We are affiliated with both the National PTA and the Oregon PTA.

National PTA Mission:

  • Empower all students to become life-long learners and contributing members of the community.
  • Advocate in the community and before governmental organizations on behalf of children and youth in schools.
  • Encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.

Ongoing volunteer and financial support by PTA to JMS provides:

  • Academic enrichment through funding of the Bernstein Artful Learning Program
  • Teacher support
  • Author visits and library support
  • Student Scholarship Fund

2010-2011 Jackson PTA Meeting Schedule:

General meetings are held in the Jackson Middle School Library on the following dates:

  • September 15, 2010, at 7:00 p.m.
  • October 20, 2010, at 7:00 p.m.
  • November 17, 2010, at 7:00 p.m.
  • January 19, 2011, at 7:00 p.m.
  • March 16, 2011, at 7:00 p.m.
  • May 18, 2011, at 7:00 p.m.

Board meetings are held in the Jackson Middle School Community Room (next to the main office) on the following dates at 6:00 p.m. and are open to all PTA members:

  • September 8, 2010
  • October 13, 2010
  • November 10, 2010
  • January 12, 2011
  • March 9, 2011
  • May 11, 2011
